Janet Wickell, the Guide to Quilting, has more than thirty years of quilt-making experience and has written numerous books including Easy-to-Make Dollhouse Quilts, Teach Yourself Quilting, and eight books for the Classic American Quilt series.

I am a beginner at quilting only having made a few very simple quilts throws. I wanted to try something a little more challenging and felt like I needed a "guide" to assist me.

This is the book for sure!/5(). This book really does cater for the beginner. I've made the car-size quilt and all the directions were spot on. I was pleased as a beginner, that the project showed an easy way to edge the quilt so it looks bound but isn't.
